I recently had the opportunity to test out a pair of Heelys. Those of you not familiar with these they are the ordinary shoes that you can add skates in them to glide. Skate 101 I always see the kids using them in the mall. I received a pair for my daughter. I let her pick which ones there were many styles and colors to choose from but she was very excited to see the hot bright pink!
As soon as I opened the box I could tell they were a nice shoe. Very well made and sturdy. Her eyes were bright with excitement! I put in the wheels which were not hard to do at all and she tried it out. Off she went, she was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly and didnt want to take them off when I said we had to put them away. I did allow her to only do this in my house until I got her the proper pads etc. You can read about Heelys PlayBook with safety tips. I think the best part about the shoes in my opinion is they can be worn as a regular shoe not only a skating shoe!
